Job summary

Child Mind Institute seeks a Director of IT Operations in New York, NY to lead IT infrastructure, security, and service delivery. You will own end‑to‑end operational technology, partner with leadership to align roadmaps, manage vendors, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a four‑day in‑office commitment at the NYC headquarters. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in senior IT, a Master’s degree, and deep experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, cloud and virtualization, and

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer information systems or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 7 years in a senior IT role with leadership experience.
• Experience with IT infrastructure strategic planning, project management and policy development.
• Experience with network infrastructure technologies and cybersecurity controls.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, Windows/Mac endpoints, cloud architecture (AWS) and virtualization (VMware).
• Experience managing subject matter experts and cross‑functional IT professionals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance, security, and reliability of IT infrastructure and services.
• Maintain a secure, compliant technology environment with governance and risk management.
• Translate organizational priorities into operational technology roadmaps.
• Establish operational disciplines for business continuity, disaster recovery, and service management.
• Oversee IT Operations investments, contracts, and vendor management for value delivery.
• Define and monitor metrics to drive service quality and continuous improvement.
• Build and lead a high-performing IT Operations team and culture of service excellence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
