Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Class Director within Integrated Watershed Management to lead the direction, coordination, and quality of work for HDR’s service lines in watershed management, water supply, groundwater and water quality. The role emphasizes strategic planning, client engagement, and mentoring of technical leaders.

The position oversees risk management, development of technical tools, and collaboration across market sectors, with travel estimated up to 35%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for leadership roles in technical design.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other HDR directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, business groups and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management through process and resource reviews.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes and coordinate with the WBG Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Develop strategic plan for the business class with market sector directors.
• Facilitate business class teamwork and communication across offices and staff.
• Monitor direction, policies, quality assurance, and staffing to workload allocation.
• Recruit and train to build technical expertise and production capacity.
