Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field
• Must maintain a professional or Architecture/Engineering registration and related technical experience
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams
• Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers and marketing managers on business class efforts
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Coordinate with related business classes, market sectors and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through process and resource reviews.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors and provide input to leadership.
• Facilitate business class teamwork, communication and work sharing across offices and departments.
• Monitor direction, policies, quality assurance, and staffing levels.
• Build technical expertise and production capacity through recruitment and training.
• Support client development and project pursuits.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and events.
• Oversee Technical Networking Groups sponsored by the business class.
• Facilitate lessons learned for project delivery and process improvements.
• Monitor company-wide performance to support management actions.
