Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director, Insurance and Enterprise Risk Management to join a leader in the Energy & Utilities sector. This remote role focuses on shaping insurance strategy, risk governance, and project-specific coverage while collaborating with finance, engineering, and EHS teams to strengthen controls and manage surety programs.

The role leads broker negotiations, evaluates alternate risk solutions, and guides enterprise-wide risk assessments to position the business for complex liability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant insurance experience, especially in general liability.
• 3+ years as a corporate risk manager preferred.
• Experience in nuclear energy, construction, or insurance brokerage.
• Preferred certifications include CRM, ARM, CPCU, or CRIS.

Responsibilities

• Manage corporate and project-specific insurance programs.
• Partner with finance for surety program management.
• Provide expert guidance on nuclear liability and insurance policies.
• Negotiate coverage terms and manage insurance broker relationships.
• Implement loss control measures in collaboration with engineering and EHS teams.
• Assess and develop alternative risk programs and insurance products.
• Oversee enterprise risk management governance and assessments.
