Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Director, Risk Management & Insurance (Remote) to own the enterprise risk management and insurance strategy for a complex, project-driven organization in the Energy & Utilities space. The role partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to assess exposures, strengthen risk controls, and support major construction initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 15+ years of progressive risk management experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, project risk, construction risk, insurance, or operational risk within EPC, industrial construction, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
• Significant experience managing large-scale insurance and risk financing programs.
• Demonstrated success overseeing surety programs for large and complex construction projects.
• Proven track record managing complex claims and litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on various risk types.
• Develop and maintain enterprise risk assessments and key risk indicators.
• Establish executive-level risk reporting to support decision‑making.
• Partner with Operations and Preconstruction teams to assess project risks.
• Provide oversight of corporate and project-specific insurance programs.
• Lead the evaluation and development of alternative risk financing strategies.
