Selby Jennings partners with a leading institutional investment manager to seek an experienced Institutional Sales professional responsible for driving business development across U.S. public pensions, corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, Taft-Hartley plans, and institutional consultants.

The role focuses on building relationships with CIOs, investment committees, and consultant teams while expanding assets in fixed income and customized solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in institutional sales, consultant relations, or related client-facing roles.
• Existing relationships within public pension, corporate pension, and institutional consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income markets and institutional portfolio construction.
• Proven track record of raising assets from institutional investors.
• Ability to discuss investment strategies, portfolio positioning, and market outlooks with allocators.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting institutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with CIOs, pension boards, and consultant teams.
• Drive asset growth across fixed income solutions.
• Lead prospect meetings, presentations, due diligence sessions, and conferences.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and client service teams throughout the sales process.
• Maintain a robust pipeline and provide updates on fundraising activity.
• Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities.
