Job summary

Coborn’s, Inc. offers a high-visibility Director in Training program designed to groom the next store leader with an owner’s mindset. You will gain hands-on experience directing total store operations while learning from an experienced Store Director, focusing on sales growth, team development, and guest satisfaction.

You’ll learn to drive merchandising, promotions, compliance, and safety, building leadership capability and fostering a culture that rewards initiative and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of related experience.
• Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• A passion for developing people, serving guests, and achieving business results.
• The ability to set clear expectations, lead by example, and hold yourself and others accountable.
• Adaptability, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn every area of store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead total store performance toward sales, profit, expense, labor, and guest service goals.
• Coach department leaders, set clear expectations, reinforce accountability, and develop employees.
• Ensure departments meet standards for merchandising, inventory, pricing, rotation, and safety.
• Model personalized guest service and maintain an organized, inviting store.
• Lead store promotions and visually strong displays to support sales and gross profit.
• Strengthen hiring, scheduling, retention, communication, training, and succession planning.
• Support adherence to company standards and local, state, and federal requirements.
• Regularly walk the store to identify opportunities and help departments when needed.
