Coborn’s, Inc. is offering a Director in Training program to develop hands-on store leadership with an owner’s mindset. You’ll gain experience directing total store operations, coach departments, and drive sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction.

You’ll learn how decisions impact team, store, and long-term success while growing leadership capabilities and preparing to lead a Coborn’s store in the future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of related experience.
• Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• A passion for developing people, serving guests, and achieving business results.
• The ability to set clear expectations, lead by example, and hold yourself and others accountable.
• Adaptability, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn every area of store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead total store performance toward sales, profit, expense, labor, and guest service goals.
• Develop strong teams through coaching, setting clear expectations, and ongoing feedback.
• Deliver operational excellence across merchandising, inventory, ordering, pricing, product rotation, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety.
• Create a remarkable guest experience by modeling personalized service and an inviting store.
• Drive promotions and displays to support sales and gross profit goals.
• Build leadership capability through hiring, scheduling, retention, communication, training, and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
• Stay connected to the work by regularly walking the store, identifying opportunities, and removing barriers.
