Job summary

Headway in New York City is seeking an exceptional HR Business Partner to support our engineering organization in a hands-on, in-person-hybrid role. You will partner with HR leadership and engineering leaders to design and execute people strategies that scale, elevate leadership, and align with business goals.

You will act as a trusted advisor across the full HR lifecycle—organizational design, performance management, talent planning, and leadership development—balancing near-term priorities

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive HRBP or HR adjacent/ generalist experience in high-growth environments.
• Independently partner with business leaders and drive initiatives without needing direction.
• Data-driven, using qualitative and quantitative signals to surface insights.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership: translate priorities into people plans and surface cross-org insights.
• Talent Strategy & Performance: lead performance management and talent reviews with accountability.
• Organizational Design & Effectiveness: inform org structure decisions and use headcount data to plan.
