Job summary

St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center Inc in Baltimore is seeking a Director of Homesharing to provide strategic leadership for the Homesharing Program, aligning services with the organization's mission and community needs.

You will lead program design, budget management, staff supervision, and partner development, expanding access to safe, affordable shared housing while promoting aging in place and housing stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, human services, community development or similar; or equivalent experience in related field
• Minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing, homeless services, case management, reentry programs and/or human services
• Knowledge of data collection methods and statistics, and an ability to analyze and interpret data in order to inform decision making
• At least three years of supervisory or management experience
• Experience working with diverse populations, including returning citizens, aging populations, youth and young adults from varying economic, social and ethnic backgrounds
• Experience in creating and implementing annual operating plans and budgets
• Possesses ability to establish effective rapport and working relationships
• A highly collaborative individual who values networking and forming informal and formal partnerships with external service providers
• Ability to manage conflict and de-escalate high-pressure situations
• Commitment to St. Ambrose's mission, vision, values and goals
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and solve complex problems creatively

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and implement annual operating plans.
• Develop and manage the Homesharing Program budget and grant reporting.
• Oversee recruitment, screening, matching, and ongoing support for home providers and seekers.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead staff supervision, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations and governmental partners.
• Monitor program performance using data systems and report results.
• Expand capacity and geographic reach through strategic initiatives.
