Job summary

Illumio, based in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks an experienced leader to own and scale our AI-native Talent Acquisition Operating System. You will architect the global operating model, connect Ashby and other tools, and govern end-to-end workflows across recruiting, People Operations, IT, and regions.

You will lead a distributed team of five contractors, drive transformation, and partner with Legal, Privacy, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Twelve or more years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition operations, recruiting programs, People Operations, or a closely related field.
• Experience building or scaling Talent Acquisition operations in fast-moving technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, or similarly complex global environments.
• Experience architecting AI-enabled operating models or enterprise workflow transformation, including agent or automation portfolios, governance, adoption, and measurement.
• Deep working knowledge of recruiting systems, process design, data governance, analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting; Ashby or similar ATS is valuable.
• Sound judgment about privacy, security, data boundaries, and where technology improves outcomes versus human ownership.
• Experience building early career, internship, university recruiting, or other enterprise talent programs with measurable ROI.
• Strong program and portfolio management skills, including prioritization, implementation, change leadership, vendor management, budgeting, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated success leading distributed employees and contingent professionals, building capability and accountability through change.
• Executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver multi-year Talent Acquisition operations, programs, and transformation strategy aligned with Illumio's hiring priorities.
• Design the global operating model including ownership, service standards, governance, and handoffs across recruiting, People Operations, IT, and regional teams.
• Architect Illumio's AI-native Talent Acquisition Operating System, connecting Ashby and other tools into governed workflows.
• Redesign recruiting processes by deciding what to automate or keep Human-led, with clear measures for speed, quality, and candidate experience.
• Own the portfolio of AI agents and automations with data boundaries, human review, testing, and scale criteria.
• Build Talent Intelligence and knowledge layers, including market maps, search blueprints, and reusable role-family insights.
• Establish governance with partners while preserving human ownership of success definitions and decisions.
• Create executive reporting synthesizing hiring plan risk, capacity, funnel health, market signals, and cost.
• Lead global early career and university recruiting strategy and partnerships.
