Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Director, Field Effectiveness, Obesity and Related Conditions to lead a team driving commercial effectiveness by guiding, advising, and supporting the sales force. The role focuses on delivering insights, excellence, and efficiency across Field Effectiveness, Incentive Compensation, Field Operations, and Field Systems enhancements.

Strong preference for a flexible commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA; on-site 2–3 days/week with Deerfield, IL or Remote options considered.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent with 4 years of sales analytics and/or field effectiveness experience.
• Master’s degree with 8 years of sales analytics and/or field effectiveness experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of sales analytics and/or field effectiveness experience.
• At least 4 years of direct people management/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and oversee field effectiveness programs and initiatives.
• Develop design of the department, roles, and goals to deliver field capabilities.
• Lead or co-lead initiatives (e.g., field size, structure, launch readiness).
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities; recommend solutions.
• Coordinate field projects, targeting, reporting, and omnichannel initiatives.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members and cross-functional partners.
