Job summary

BLOX is seeking a Director, Estimating & Preconstruction to lead its estimating and preconstruction function across platform categories. You will own pricing accuracy, establish standards, govern margins, and present performance to the Board and C-suite, while mentoring senior staff and expanding capabilities for new building types.

This leadership role requires deep experience in preconstruction, tool-enabled cost modeling, and executive-facing collaboration to drive profitability and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 12+ years in construction with leadership in estimating/precon and pricing.
• Proven C-suite client and commercial relationships in pursuit/negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Own accuracy, integrity, and margin impact of preconstruction estimates across programs.
• Hold final review and approval authority over pursuit pricing prior to executive sign-off.
• Lead post-project cost reviews and translate actuals into improved benchmarks.
• Define, implement, and uphold estimating standards and data practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Associate Directors and Managers within the function.
• Present pursuit, pricing, and margin performance to Executive Leadership and Board.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field
