Job summary

BLOX is seeking a Director, Estimating & Preconstruction to lead the entire estimating and preconstruction function across Data Center, Healthcare, Retail, and emerging building types. You will own pricing accuracy, establish standards, and present margin performance to the Board and C-suite.

As a senior leader, you will mentor Associate Directors and Managers, drive governance for pursuit pricing, and develop cost models for new markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a construction related field.
• 12+ years in construction with leadership in preconstruction/estimating.
• Experience presenting to C-suite and Board-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own pricing accuracy and margin impact across all platform categories.
• Lead pursuit pricing reviews and establish estimate assumptions and risks.
• Drive post-project cost reviews and improve benchmarks and costs.
• Define organization-wide estimating standards and data practices.
• Oversee the preconstruction database and ERP cost reconciliations.
• Set standards for pricing templates, workflows, and Basis of Estimate requirements.
• Lead capability building for new building types and platforms.
• Develop and mentor Associate Directors and Managers in the function.
• Present pricing strategy and margin performance to leadership and Board.
