Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of Risk Management to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the organization. The role involves evaluating captive and self-insurance options, expanding the surety bonding program, and advising executives on risk across multiple regions including San Diego, Denver, Dallas, and Edison.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA/MS in Risk Management strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive risk management experience; 5+ years in construction preferred.
• Experience managing large commercial insurance programs and captives/self-insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee an Enterprise Risk Management framework aligned with strategy and growth.
• Lead insurance renewals across multiple lines and manage captive/alternative risk programs.
• Oversee claims management, risk reviews of contracts, and loss prevention initiatives.
• Partner with finance, operations, and safety to optimize total cost of risk and bonding.
• Coordinate with brokers, underwriters, and external advisors; report to senior leadership and Board.
