Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of Risk Management to provide strategic leadership and oversight for risk across the organization. The role will advise executive leadership, assess risks, and explore alternative risk financing structures including captive insurance while growing the surety program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Risk Management) strongly preferred.
• 15+ years progressive risk management experience, construction sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework aligned with company strategy.
• Lead insurance program management across all lines including renewals and coverage terms.
• Evaluate captive and self-insurance options and other alternative risk financing structures.
• Oversee end-to-end claims management and reserves; manage litigation risk and costs.
• Review and negotiate risk and insurance provisions across contracts and real estate transactions.
• Oversee surety bonding program and monitor bonding capacity and performance.
• Partner with Safety and Fleet to reduce loss frequency and severity; develop loss prevention initiatives.
• Embed risk culture across functions and report risk metrics to leadership and Board.
