Job summary

Everwise Credit Union in Indiana seeks a Director of Physical Security to lead the design and governance of the security program across all facilities. You will oversee access control, CCTV/VMS, alarms, and guard services while partnering with Risk, Legal, and Compliance to meet regulatory expectations.

You will report on security risk trends, manage investigations, and drive security awareness. This role requires travel to multiple sites and after-hours availability.

Qualifications

• Degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field; master’s preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive physical security experience in financial services or similarly regulated environment.
• 4+ years leading and developing a team with performance management.
• Experience managing enterprise security systems and contract guard services.
• CPP or PSP certifications preferred.
• Travel regularly to assigned sites and respond to after-hours incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the comprehensive enterprise physical security strategy aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain physical security policies, standards, and procedures for access control, surveillance, alarms, and guards.
• Provide executive-level reporting on security risks, incidents, trends, and mitigations.
• Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and site security audits across locations.
• Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
• Establish onboarding and training programs for security personnel.
• Coordinate with HR, Legal, Compliance, Fraud, and law enforcement as needed.
• Ensure incident response, crisis management, and emergency preparedness are tested.
