Job summary

Kestrel Intelligence in the United States seeks a Director of Business Development to expand the national security portfolio by shaping requirements, building relationships, and capturing new work across DoD and IC customers. You will connect mission owners with ISR tasking, collection management, and sensor orchestration capabilities.

Qualifications

8+ years in business development, capture management, or program leadership for DoD/IC.
Record of winning new contracts with OTAs, SBIRs, or rapid acquisition methods.
Understanding of DoD/IC landscape, budgets and acquisition processes.

Responsibilities

Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities across DoD/IC entities.
Develop trusted relationships with mission owners, PMs, COs, and evaluators.
Identify and pursue opportunities through traditional and nontraditional pathways.
Lead capture planning, customer engagement strategy, and win themes.
Translate customer needs into concepts, demos, and pilot plans with engineering.
Lead or support proposal development, including technical volumes and pricing.
Build teaming with primes and nontraditional vendors to access contract vehicles.
Track opportunities and report progress to leadership.
Represent Kestrel at industry days and customer events; transition pilots to production.
