Job summary

Gridco is seeking a Director, Data Center Market to lead and expand our data center business across the Southeast and beyond. You will own the pipeline, build developer and EPC relationships, and partner with utilities to win substation and electrical infrastructure work.

You will work cross-functionally with estimators, preconstruction, and operations to convert wins into delivery, while shaping Gridco's presence at industry events and in strategic collateral.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in business development or sales in electrical infrastructure, utility construction, EPC, or data center development.
• Established relationships with data center developers, EPCs, GCs, or utilities, ideally in the Southeast.
• Strong grasp of substation, transmission, and interconnection scope and the data center power-delivery process.
• Willing to travel and fluent with CRM and modern productivity/AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the data center pipeline: identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities, keep CRM current.
• Build developer and EPC relationships to ensure Gridco is known early.
• Team with GCs to become go-to substation/electrical partner on projects.
• Partner with utilities and unregulated teams to position Gridco as a construction partner.
• Sell the Gridco value for self-perform scope and energization speed.
• Lead conference strategy: shows, sponsorships, booth presence, lead capture, and follow-up.
• Run pursuits and market intelligence with estimating/preconstruction, NDAs, and proposals.
• Collaborate internally with operations, marketing, and leadership on collateral and strategy.
