Job summary

NextEdge seeks a Data Center Business Development Director to drive growth in edge and regional data center opportunities. You will build executive relationships with operators, utilities, EPCs, and partners while shaping proposals, pricing, and delivery strategies.

Senior leader will translate complex infrastructure needs into profitable, scalable outcomes, balancing cost, risk, and schedule to accelerate time-to-market and capacity expansion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic leadership roles.
• Experience selling into edge data centers, utilities, enterprise customers, or channel partners.
• Strong familiarity with power distribution, grid interconnection, cooling, and mission-critical facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development strategy for edge data centers and scalable data center infrastructure opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and close profitable opportunities with regional data center operators, colocation providers, enterprise customers, and strategic partners.
• Lead consultative customer discovery to uncover capacity requirements, power availability, resiliency needs, and project timing.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with customers, utilities, EPCs, engineering partners, and internal sponsors.
• Develop territory, account, and market-entry strategies tied to edge growth and regional capacity needs.
• Translate complex technical solutions into clear customer outcomes focusing on reliability, energy efficiency, speed to value, and total cost of ownership.
• Shape proposals, pricing, contract terms, and delivery plans with cross-functional teams.
• Influence decisions across networks while negotiating trade-offs around cost, schedule, scope, risk, and feasibility.
• Apply financial and business-case thinking to long-cycle opportunities, ROI, and deal execution.
