Job summary

QTS is a global provider of data center solutions, delivering advanced facilities to support AI, cloud, and digital transformation initiatives. The Director, Development (Data Center Construction) will lead multi-million dollar projects, coordinate across sales, operations and development teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery for our clients.

The role requires a strong background in data center design and construction, proven project management skills and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or professional licenses in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
• Ten+ years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Five+ years in data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• Be able to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location
• Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team, and supporting specialty consultants, to support customer's design needs, pricing, customer approvals, & implementation of specific deployment scopes
• Manage the delivery of these projects, this position aligns clients' objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts across the QTS organization
• Drive effective client relationship management and efficient cost management, with the ultimate goal of delivering the project on time and on budget
• Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals
