Job summary

Piedmont Airlines in Salisbury, MD seeks a results-driven Crew Scheduling Director to lead the Crew Scheduling Department within Flight Operations. You will oversee staffing, resources, and day-to-day operations, reporting to the Senior Director, Operational Strategy.

Ideal candidate has airline flight operations experience, advanced MS Office skills, and the ability to work with OCC, payroll, and unions; on-call responsibilities may apply; starting rate $100,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Cross-collaborative experience with OCC, Flights Ops, payroll, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with operational suite software (Flightscape CAE Next Gen Ops Suite).
• Five years of Crew Scheduling experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Manager of Crew Scheduling and Crew Scheduling Training Manager.
• Evaluate SOPs of Crew Scheduling, Operational Playbooks, and CFR processes.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and tools for the department.
• Coordinate with external hotel vendor for crew lodging during RONs.
• Ensure compliance with CFR, contracts, and procedures.
• Apply Safety Risk Management and SMS principles.
• Respond to management inquiries in real time regarding operational issues.
• Coordinate with OCC Managers on irregular operations strategy.
• Implement technologies to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Liaise with ALPA and AFA as needed for crew scheduling issues.
• Perform on-call duties as required.
