Job summary

Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is seeking a motivated leader to direct Crew Scheduling in the Flight Operations Department. The role oversees staffing, resources, and day-to-day operations, reporting to the Senior Director, Operational Strategy.

Advanced MS Office skills and airline operations experience are essential, with collaboration across OCC, Flights Ops, and payroll. The position requires oversight of SOPs, CFR compliance, safety management, and coordination with unions.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Cross-collaborative work with OCC, Flights Ops, payroll, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of operational suite software (Flightscape CAE Next Gen Ops Suite).
• Five years of crew scheduling experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Manager of Crew Scheduling and Crew Scheduling Training Manager.
• Evaluate SOPs, Operational Playbooks, and CFR procedures.
• Ensure staffing and tools are adequate for duties.
• Coordinate with external hotel vendor for crew hotel rooms during RONs.
• Ensure CFR, contracts, and company procedures are followed.
• Perform safety risk management and SMS-based safety assurance.
• Respond to management inquiries in real time regarding operational problems.
• Coordinate with OCC Managers on irregular operations strategy.
• Implement new technologies to drive operational efficiencies and mitigate risk.
• Liaise with flight crew labor unions (ALPA/AFA) as required.
