Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Contract Strategy Implementation Director to lead the operational design and scalable execution of cross-portfolio provider contracts. You will collaborate with market access, commercial contracting, and operations to ensure compliant, sustainable contract solutions.

The role demands strategic thinking, expert negotiation skills, and the ability to translate complex trade-offs into actionable plans. A strong track record in pharma/biotech contract operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare managed, legal, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of cross-functional experience in market access, account management, contract negotiations, or strategic operations within pharma/biotech (or 8+ years with an advanced degree).
• Expert understanding of market access contracting, implementation strategies, and compliance, with preferred provider dynamics experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End contract strategy implementation and execution for priority U.S. customer segments.
• Advise senior leadership on market access operationalization and adapt program designs to market dynamics.
• Refine and pressure test contract language, boilerplates, and operational terms; represent CSI in negotiations and setups.
• Oversee governance on process deviations and prepare data-driven recommendations for executives.
