Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national Commercial Property & Casualty operations. The role focuses on strategy, workflow standardization, and scalable processes, partnering with regional leaders to drive performance and shareholder value.

The ideal candidate will have a P&C license, CPCU/CIC designation, and 5–7+ years of leadership experience in a large brokerage.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with leadership to improve operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Establish standardized workflows, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce variation.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing, workloads, and service demand to develop capacity plans.
• Collaborate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, systems, and best practices.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and workflow alignment.
• Build partnerships with producers and operations to drive engagement and accountability.
• Promote EPIC and other tech to improve performance and consistency.
• Lead change management and professional development to sustain improvements.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
