Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operations for P&C brokerage services. The role partners with senior leaders to standardize workflows, drive efficiency, and support M&A integration while delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate has a valid P&C license, CPCU or CIC designation, and 5–7+ years of leadership in a large insurance brokerage, with strong communication and strategic thinking capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurer or brokerage.
• Strong expertise in agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leadership to improve operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions for efficiency and quality.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Analyze staffing, workload distribution, and capacity to support growth.
• Align Managed Services resources with organizational goals and drive alignment.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, systems, and best practices (EPIC).
• Support merger and acquisition initiatives through integration planning and workflow alignment.
