Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a Nursing Education leader to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical education and staff development programs across WVU Hospitals.

The role directs strategic programs, manages budgets, and collaborates with leadership to ensure competency and education across the WVU Medicine System. The position requires a Master’s in Nursing (or related field), RN licensure, and at least five years nursing experience with teaching experience and leadership

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field is required.
• Five years of nursing experience with at least two years in teaching/learning.
• Three years in leadership or supervisory roles is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees planning, development, management, and evaluation of clinical education training programs and curriculum.
• Develops and implements nursing learning needs assessments and educational plans.
• Ensures documentation of education, competency and training in the Learning Management System.
• Acts as a consultant to leaders to guide planning of educational needs and changes across WVU Hospitals.
