Job summary

Axios is seeking a Director, Client Partnerships on the East Coast to lead high-impact client engagements and drive revenue growth. You will report to the Head of New & Growth Partnerships and build strategic relationships with agencies and brands.

The role emphasizes an entrepreneurial, hunting mindset, exceptional communication, and collaboration with Brand Studio and events teams. Travel and leadership are expected to expand Axios’ footprint.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in sales, specifically in the digital media/news industry
• Established relationships with key agencies and brands
• Experience in an outbound sales environment
• Understanding of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios’ competitive landscape
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and the willingness to proactively partner with Axios Brand Studio and the events team
• Willingness to travel and attend social events and engagements representing Axios
• Growth mindset with hunger to constantly learn and improve your craft
• Comfortable with a mix of outbound sales strategy as well as the nurturing of inbound leads and existing client relationships

Responsibilities

• Be a key player on the Client Partnerships team and a brand ambassador for Axios
• Establish new relationships for Axios’ Core Media team, and proactively network across the market and create new opportunities for our company
• Develop and maintain trusted, strategic relationships with agency and client partners to expand Axios’ footprint within your category
