Overview

Director - Client Development, Capital One Shopping (Remote)

Capital One Shopping is seeking a Director of Client Development to join the Partnerships Team. This role involves partnering with top merchants to leverage Capital One Shopping's solutions, acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams, and creating bespoke solutions for top merchants. The position requires a sales leader with product, data, and strategic account management experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Partner with external stakeholders, including C-suite contacts, to grow and cultivate Capital One Shopping.
  2. Use data and analytical methods to optimize and expand your portfolio.
  3. Support and train agencies, industry partners, and stakeholders on Capital One Shopping.
  4. Collaborate with Product, Revenue Management, and other teams to drive business growth.
  5. Utilize technical skills (analytic platforms, APIs, proprietary tools) as a plus.
  6. Build a pipeline of enterprise relationships and influence across teams.
  7. Leverage data, analytics, and communication skills to succeed.
  8. Create and deliver executive-level presentations and materials.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  1. Strong strategic, analytical, and data analysis skills.
  2. Experience and success in client-facing interactions (in-person, phone, email).
  3. Ability to develop strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  4. Experience managing client relationships and creating customized solutions.
  5. Experience in product roadmapping.
  6. Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and open communication.
  7. Proven success in retail partnership programs, marketing initiatives, and co-op campaigns.
  8. Ability to collaborate within client teams and across the retail media organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
  2. Minimum 12 years in strategic client-facing sales or account management roles.
  3. At least 8 years analyzing data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA.
  2. Over 10 years in affiliate, enterprise sales, or performance marketing.
  3. 8+ years leading high-performing sales teams.
  4. Experience managing technical sales and integrations.

Additional Information:

This role is not eligible for sponsorship. Salary ranges vary by location, with a range of $181,800 - $207,500 for remote and Richmond, VA roles. Compensation may include performance incentives.
