Job summary

RTX's Naval Power Requirements and Capabilities organization seeks a Director of Capture Management to lead strategic, complex captures for the Shipboard Missiles SBM unit. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, build customer relationships, and drive win strategies across DoD customers.

The role emphasizes developing plans, managing investments, and delivering high-quality proposals while coordinating with program management, strategy, finance, contracts, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years prior Aerospace and Defense industry experience or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 12 years’ experience.
• 4+ years’ experience as a capture manager or acquisition professional using defense industry capture and proposal processes for US customers.
• Experience as a key contributor on competitive and sole source captures or acquisitions/solicitations over $500M.
• Intermediate Capture Management Certification or equivalent including USG/DoD PM/acquisition certifications.
• Experience with customer engagement, the DoD acquisition processes, strategy development, resource planning, delivering strategic recommendations, and briefings to senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a capture portfolio of Shipboard Missile programs overseeing all phases of the pursuit lifecycle.
• Build and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary capture teams with internal and external partners.
• Develop and execute comprehensive capture plans with POA&M and win strategies.
• Engage with customers to shape requirements and win themes.
• Brief and update senior leadership on capture progress and investments.
