Job summary

RTX is seeking an Associate Director of Capture Management to lead strategic captures in the Mission Systems domain. You will guide cross‑functional teams, shape win strategies, and manage engagements with key customers on opportunities often valued at hundreds of millions to billions.

This US‑based role supports multiple RTX SBUs and requires rigorous program governance. Hybrid work options are available, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience.
• 4+ years’ experience as a capture manager using Raytheon or Shipley Based capture and proposal processes.
• Experience as a key contributor on competitive domestic and/or international captures over $100M.
• Intermediate Capture Management Certification (or equivalent).
• Experience with customer engagement, strategy development, resource planning, and the DoD acquisition process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capture of strategic and high dollar value APS competitive opportunities, overseeing all phases of the capture lifecycle from inception to program startup.
• Build and maintain key long-term customer relationships with APS customers and decision makers.
• Engage and understand the customer, their hot-buttons, and budgets to develop win strategy.
• Provide progress updates, justify investments, and ensure alignment with priorities.
• Develop and implement win strategies and capture products positioning Raytheon to secure new business.
• Develop and execute capture plans with customer mapping, engagement strategy and POA&M.
• Lead capture strategy and execution within the RLPM framework and gating process.
• Build and lead cross-functional capture teams across RTX SBUs and external partners.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders involved in capture.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to secure investment funding and maximize Pwin.
• Lead critical capture events and ensure competitive edge.
• Drive early customer engagement to shape requirements and influence acquisition strategies.
• Champion proposal excellence and contribute to pricing strategies.
• Conduct competitive intelligence analysis to adjust capture strategy and mitigate risks.
• Brief senior leadership on capture progress, risks, and strategy.
• Collaborate with RTX GGR on policy advocacy and development of technologies.
• Ensure accuracy of capture data in ERPM CRM.
• Domestic travel up to 50%.
• Possible Work Locations: TX - McKinney, VA – Dulles or Arlington.
