Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director for its PEPI Technology Services AI team within the CTO Domain to lead AI-driven value creation across the private equity lifecycle. You will own scoping, client relationships, and outcomes in software engineering, product development, and delivery.

You will translate hands-on engineering experience into rapid impact, guiding SDLC transformations, AI tooling rollouts, and DevOps programs at scale while collaborating with portfolio companies and PE deal partners.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in software engineering leadership or engineering transformation.
• Experience with private equity or PE-backed portfolio companies is preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in CS or software engineering; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-driven value creation engagements across PE lifecycle, owning scope and financial outcomes end-to-end.
• Drive engagement leadership with portfolio company CTOs and VPs of Engineering.
• Direct cross-functional teams spanning software engineering, product, DevOps, and data/ML.
• Develop AI-native operating models and SDLC transformation roadmaps with clear financial targets.
