Job summary

Life360 is seeking a Director of AI Platforms to lead a pivotal shift from internal AI support to delivering AI-powered experiences for members. You will shape the PDLC and platform strategy, collaborating with executives and engineers to drive adoption and measurable outcomes at scale.

You will report to the Chief Information Security Officer and influence across the leadership team as you define how AI inference and features operate for Life360's global user base.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience building platforms or infrastructure used by other engineers.
• Hands-on experience with production AI systems and agent workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and roadmaps for the AI Platforms team.
• Scale the team by hiring and developing current members.
• Build and evolve the shared AI platform (model access, routing, agent runtime).
• Define end-user platforms for AI features in production at member scale.
• Partner with Security, Privacy, and Legal on data safeguards.
