Life360 is hiring a Director of IT to own IT Operations and IT Engineering end to end for a remote-first, US-focused environment. You’ll set strategy, build playbooks, and lead a growing team to deliver enterprise identity, endpoint management, and collaboration tooling with an engineering-first approach.

The role emphasizes a safety-first mindset, scalable infra, and AI-driven automation to improve productivity while maintaining strong security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience including 7–8 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep hands-on grounding in IAM, endpoint management, cloud collaboration platforms, and enterprise networking.
• Experience embedding AI tools and automation into IT operations.
• Demonstrated security-first judgment with partnerships in Security and Compliance.
• Experience owning budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement decisions.
• Strong communication with non-technical teams.
• Comfortable operating in a global, high-growth environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and execution of Life360's core IT Operations & Engineering teams.
• Drive the technical roadmap and transparency programs for IT quality, risks, and investments.
• Lead, hire, and grow a high-performing IT team with an engineering-first mindset.
• Set and enforce high-quality service levels and evolving operating model.
• Partner with the CISO to ensure safety standards across services and processes.
• Identify and implement AI-native tools and automation to boost productivity.
• Own IT vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and budget planning.
• Serve as escalation point and executive sponsor for major IT incidents and migrations.
