Job summary

Life360 is seeking a Director of AI Platforms to lead the team responsible for AI infrastructure, model access, and agent orchestration. The role focuses on moving from internal AI support to member‑facing AI features, shaping the PDLC, and partnering across security and product teams.

You will report to the Chief Information Security Officer and influence executives and engineers while driving measurable platform outcomes for a remote‑first company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience building and operating production AI systems.
• Working knowledge of MCP and agent orchestration.
• Comfort reviewing architecture and setting technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for the AI Platforms team with a clear roadmap.
• Lead and scale the team through strategic hiring and development.
• Build and evolve the shared AI platform including model access and routing, agent runtime, and integrations.
• Define and own AI end-user platforms enabling a multiplayer ecosystem with agents.
• Partner with Security, Privacy, and Legal to embed data safeguards from day one.
• Define and report outcomes like adoption, quality, cost per outcome, and time to ship.
