Life360 is seeking a Director of AI Platforms to build and lead a team shaping how AI powers our member experiences. You’ll drive an agentic PDLC, scale the platform, and partner across security and product teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

The role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer, with a US-based salary range of $216,500 to $318,500 and a broad equity and benefits package. This is a remote-first position within the United States.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams building platforms or infrastructure.
• Experience building and operating production AI systems (agentic workflows, LLM integrations, evals).
• Familiarity with AI inference, latency, reliability, provider management, and cost.
• Ability to influence a large engineering organization without becoming a bottleneck.

Responsabilités

• Set the direction for the AI Platforms team with a clear roadmap.
• Scale the team through strategic hiring and development.
• Evolve the shared AI platform: model access and routing, agent runtime, MCP integrations, evals, agent identity, and cost controls.
• Define and own our AI end-user platforms, enabling a multiplayer ecosystem with agents.
• Partner with core teams to evolve our Agentic PDLC, including tools, environments, and workflows.
• Extend the platform from internal productivity to the product, enabling AI inference in production at member scale.
• Drive adoption by making the right way the easy way with reusable components.
• Partner with Security, Privacy, and Legal to build data safeguards into the platform from day one.
• Define and report outcomes like adoption, quality, cost per outcome, and time to ship.
• Stay close to the work: review designs, unblock teams, and advise build-vs-buy decisions.
