Job summary

Humana is seeking a Director of AI Engineering to lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale agentic AI. You will guide foundational services, frameworks, and platforms enabling rapid development, deployment, and scaling of AI across business domains.

This role requires 10+ years in AI/ML with 5+ in leadership, strong TensorFlow/PyTorch and Python skills, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), Python, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proven track record of leading and growing high‑performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale agentic AI capabilities.
Grow and mentor a team of AI engineers and foster a culture of excellence.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with security, data engineering, and DevOps.
Ensure CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and reliable incident response.
Define strategic plans and balance near‑term needs with platform investments.
Design reusable components for LLM orchestration, experiment tracking, and observability.
