Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Lead Director, AI Governance Engineering to build a lean team delivering governance-as-code: platform-agnostic SDKs, APIs, and automated controls. You will shift toward registration-driven workflows with built-in guardrails and observability.

You will partner with AI platform teams, security and privacy to embed controls into development workflows, driving measurable outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software or platform engineering teams.
• Strong system architecture skills across APIs, automation, CI/CD, and data platforms.
• Experience building developer-facing tools such as SDKs, templates, or automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with ML and Generative AI lifecycles and governance controls via automation.
• Ability to translate governance or risk requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a small, high-impact AI Governance Engineering team.
• Partner with AI platform teams, governance, security, and privacy partners to embed technical controls.
• Define and track outcomes such as reduced intake complexity and faster cycle times.
• Design unified intake APIs and automated risk classification for registrations and provisioning workflows.
• Integrate governance checks into CI/CD pipelines to generate evidence during development.
