Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director of AI Governance Engineering to build and lead a lean team delivering governance-as-code, platform-agnostic SDKs, APIs, and automated controls. You will shape responsible AI guardrails across pipelines, integrate with CI/CD, and enable rapid, auditable AI deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software or platform engineering teams.
• Strong system architecture skills across APIs, automation, CI/CD, and data platforms.
• Experience building developer-facing tools such as SDKs, templates, or automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with ML and Generative AI lifecycles and governance controls automated.
• Ability to translate governance or risk requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Automated Use Case Intake & Risk Classification: design unified intake APIs and experiences; automate metadata population.
• Governance-as-Code Toolkits: develop platform-agnostic Python/SDK offerings with automated governance controls.
• Enterprise Model & Use Case Registry Integration: ingest data and model artifacts into registry; generate audit-ready artifacts.
• Self-Service Enablement & Automation: expand policy-based routing; accelerate access to AI environments.
• Governance for Agentic Automation: establish runtime guardrails; work with security on prompt filtering and data protection.
