Job summary

Panorama Education is seeking a Director of People Operations & Systems to own the People technology ecosystem, data integrity, payroll governance, and lifecycle operations. You will lead an AI-enabled transformation to redesign workflows, automate repeatable processes, and strengthen controls while improving the employee and manager experience.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of progressive People Operations, HRIS, HR technology, payroll operations, or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading a major HRIS implementation or transformation (Rippling preferred; ADP Workforce Now a plus).
• Strong payroll fluency, including controls, multi-state considerations, audits, exceptions, and the relationship between upstream HRIS data and payroll accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own the People technology ecosystem and roadmap, including HRIS architecture, system governance, integrations, access, vendor performance, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the HRIS modernization, managing requirements, data migration, configuration decisions, testing, training, rollout, and adoption with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ensure scalable workflows, self-service for managers and employees, and reliable downstream data across the stack.
• Partner with IT and Security on integrations, access controls, system changes, and audit requirements across the People technology stack.
• Own the integrity and governance of People data, including organizational structure, job architecture, compensation data, and reporting structures.
• Build scalable dashboards and self-service reporting for headcount, hiring, turnover, compensation, and talent trends.
• Redesign payroll and related workflows as systems mature, shifting toward governance and exception management.
• Lead payroll operations oversight and develop the payroll team while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, controls, and audit readiness.
• Own onboarding/offboarding, contractor lifecycle processes, I-9/E-Verify, and international Employer of Record operations; ensure self-service and proper handoffs.
