Aurora in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Director, Head of People Technology to transform our HR tech stack into a secure, scalable, AI-enabled backbone.

You will lead platform strategy, drive data integration, and deploy AI automation to reduce manual work while enabling rapid growth.

This role requires senior leadership, hands-on architecture, and governance to ensure privacy, compliance, and reliable operations across global teams.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience leading People / HR business technology, including 6+ years in leadership in high-growth tech environments.
• Proven hands-on configuration mastery of core enterprise HRIS platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, Ashby) and understanding of backend logic and integrations.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying automated workflows to improve efficiency.
• Strong ability to design scalable data architectures, manage integrations, and map complex tech ecosystems.
• Experience operating in a public-company environment with compliance, security controls, and audit readiness.
• Experience influencing C-level executives and managing strategic vendor relationships to ensure reliable, innovative platforms.

Responsabilités

• Drive Platform Strategy & Architecture for People platforms (HRIS, ATS, Total Rewards, Performance).
• Lead Technical Design & Data Integration; define data management and automated crosswalks.
• Deploy AI & Automation; build internal agents to automate self-service and reporting.
• Establish Governance: data privacy, change management, auditability, compliance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership across People, Finance, Security IT; translate needs into outcomes.
• Lead and upskill a high-impact platform team with AI fluency and proactive ownership.
