Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead teams building AI-assisted engineering workflows within the Developer Productivity group in New York. You will shape strategy, scale platforms, and drive measurable outcomes for engineering teams across the company.

You will partner with infrastructure, security, ML, and product engineering leaders to balance innovation with quality, safety, and reliability while mentoring senior engineers and communicating progress to executives.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software engineering leadership experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale platforms and cross-functional programs.
• Deep fluency in developer productivity systems and CI/CD.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Ability to balance speed with reliability and cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams across AI-assisted engineering workflows and developer productivity initiatives.
• Define platform strategy and roadmaps for AI tooling and code review.
• Partner with infra, security, ML, and product engineering leaders to ensure safe, scalable adoption.
• Drive governance, metrics, and observability for AI-enabled development.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor senior engineers and managers.
• Communicate progress to executives and cross-functional partners.
