Reddit, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead teams building AI-assisted engineering workflows.

You will partner with leaders across infrastructure, developer productivity, security, product engineering, ads, machine learning, and senior technical leadership to make AI-native development safe, measurable, and scalable across Reddit. Qualifications

14+ years of software engineering, management, infrastructure, or related fields with leadership experience.
Deep fluency in developer productivity systems including CI/CD, code review, testing, deployment, observability, and internal platforms.
Experience leading large engineering teams delivering scalable platforms or infrastructure with executive visibility.

Responsibilities

Lead teams across Reddit's Developer Productivity and AI portfolio, including agent infrastructure, AI-assisted code review, developer environments, LLM governance, and software delivery automation.
Translate strategy into scalable platforms and roadmaps, balancing execution, quality, and long-term platform evolution.
Develop measurement systems to distinguish real productivity from vanity metrics and connect changes to business outcomes.
Drive AI governance and platform adoption with focus on security, cost, privacy, and safety in the development lifecycle.
