Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a technically adept Agent Builder Leader to join the Forward Deployed Engineering Team in Chicago. You will guide an expert team to deliver agentic AI solutions directly with customers, defining standards and the operating model to scale enterprise deployments.

You will influence product roadmaps and lead cross-functional efforts with Product, Engineering and Sales to drive enterprise-ready solutions while ensuring data privacy and security compliance globally.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and scaling enterprise AI systems or applications.
• 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing technical teams.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders on complex technical roadmaps.
• Expertise in AI implementations (RAG, vector databases, knowledge bases).
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and async processing.
• Strong understanding of the LLM landscape and enterprise deployment use cases.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration and autonomous action design.
• Willingness to travel ~30% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term strategy for Agentic AI deployments across industries.
• Establish reference architectures for Model Context Protocol and inter-agent communication.
• Standardize Agentic Development Life Cycle across engagements and oversee delivery.
• Evangelize Salesforce's agentic architecture to customers, partners, and ecosystem developers.
• Build a high-performing team capable of delivering production-grade agentic systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Sales leadership to shape strategy and execution.
• Oversee data privacy and security governance in collaboration with internal teams.
