Job summary

Centuri in Kansas is hiring an Equipment Operator. After paid training, you will operate heavy equipment safely to move earth, tools and materials on job sites, reporting to a Foreman and joining a crew to complete tasks.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, maintain equipment, and help with general labor as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year of equipment operation experience near workers and utilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
• 1+ year experience operating equipment near workers and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoe, trencher, paver, dozer, milling saw, road grater, hydro-excavator, track hoe and more.
• Load and unload equipment and materials.
• Maintain daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain all industry-required Operator Qualifications.
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.
