Job summary

Friendship Community Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Danville, AR for a part-time, day-shift role. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to support clients in home and community settings, focusing on daily living skills, safety, and dignity.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 2+ years of related experience) and a valid driver’s license. You will participate in care planning, documentation, and client activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years' experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; effectively present information.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks (showering, dressing, housekeeping, meals, budgeting).
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments; AR driver's license required.
• Maintain documentation through facility logbooks, reports, forms, and HIPAA-compliant records.
• Report incidents to supervisors immediately; maintain safety as a priority.
• Assist in Plan of Care development and medication management monitoring.
• Organize recreational activities and model professional behavior and attire.
• Assist in facility and vehicle maintenance and attend required trainings.
