Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. No experience required; on-the-job training is provided to help you grow professionally.

You will support residents in daily activities, provide compassionate care, and contribute to a safe, respectful home environment with opportunities for career advancement through the LEAP program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older; valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care following person-centered and behavior plans.
• Create a safe, respectful environment upholding residents' rights.
• Meal prep and housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home.
• Transport residents to appointments; advocate on their behalf.
• Administer medications as prescribed and verify dosages.
