Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. You will provide daily support, care, and advocacy to help residents live more independently and improve their quality of life.

No prior experience is required; on-the-job training and CPR/De-Escalation/M.A. Certification are provided as part of Paid Training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work with individuals who have mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to individuals to help meet personal goals.
• Foster a safe, respectful environment and uphold residents' rights.
• Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping.
• Transport residents to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for safety.
• Be available around the clock in homes requiring 24/7 care.
• Support daily activities and life skills development.
