Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges live more independent lives. You will provide daily care, follow person-centered plans, and work with a compassionate team.

No experience required; we train you. Our LEAP program supports advancement, and benefits include health coverage, 401k, paid training, DailyPay, and 24/7 telehealth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who have mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care following person-centered and behavior plans.
• Foster a safe environment where residents feel supported and respected.
• Meal prep and housekeeping to maintain a safe home.
• Transport individuals to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Administer medications as prescribed with correct dosage.
• Remain awake and available in homes requiring round-the-clock care.
• Supervise daily activities and life skills training.
