Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges live fuller lives. You’ll provide daily support, follow person-centered plans, and work closely with a compassionate team.

No prior experience is required; we offer comprehensive on-the-job training, a supportive team, and opportunities for growth through the LEAP program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to residents following person-centered and behavior plans.
• Create a safe, trust-filled environment that upholds residents’ rights.
• Assist with meals, laundry, and housekeeping.
• Transport residents to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosage.
• Be available 24/7 in homes requiring round-the-clock care.
• Supervise daily activities including personal care and life skills.
